Question
Is it permissible to say, for example, 'You are the one who helped me in this matter after Allah'?
Answer (English translation)
Answer: There is nothing wrong with this: 'Were it not for Allah, then you'; 'This is from Allah, then from you'; or 'You helped me after Allah in such-and-such.' There is nothing wrong with these expressions. What is not permissible is to say, 'Were it not for Allah and you'; 'This is from Allah and you'; or 'What Allah and you will.' This is not permissible; the use of 'and' here is not permissible.
However, if he says, 'Were it not for Allah, then you'; 'What Allah wills, then what so-and-so wills,' because that person helped him in a matter; or 'You helped me after Allah in such-and-such,' there is nothing wrong with it.
