Question
What is meant by Amir's words in his verse: "Forgive -- may I be sacrificed for you"?
Answer (English translation)
There is nothing wrong with it. Fighters are devoted to Allah, and the fighter in Allah's cause is likewise. The intended meaning is: "May I sacrifice myself for Your obedience, for what You prescribed, and for what Your Messenger brought." Devotion to Allah means devotion to His religion and law.
