Ibn Hisham identifies al-Hadrami as Abdullah ibn Imad ibn Akbar, of al-Sadif. He gives the lineage of al-Sadif through Sakun and Kindah to Saba’, while recording a variant genealogy in which Muratti‘ is son of Malik ibn Zayd ibn Kahlan ibn Saba’. The manuscripts and genealogists differ over some names.
