Ibn Ishaq lists ‘Amir ibn Fuhayrah, the freedman of Abu Bakr. Ibn Hisham says he was a Black man born into slavery among the Azd, whom Abu Bakr purchased. He accepted Islam early and was killed by ‘Amir ibn al-Tufayl at Bi’r Ma‘unah.
