Keenness on being clean and having a pleasant smell is among the Muslim's morals and manners, and this is more emphatic when meeting and sitting with people, especially during the Friday and congregational prayers.
The Hadīth addresses those upon whom the Friday prayer is obligatory because they are the ones who attend it.
It is recommended for the one who attends the Friday prayer to be clean. So, he should take a bath to remove the foul odors from his body, and he should wear perfume. However, if he makes ablution only, it will be sufficient for him.
