Explanation

The Prophet (ﷺ) encouraged Muslims to exchange gifts with one another, for gifts are among the causes of love and bringing hearts together.

Benefits

It is recommended to give gifts, because the Prophet (ﷺ) commanded it.
A gift is a cause of love.
